What we do.

Today, The Youth Connection Association is a leading provider of quality programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of more than 2,000 young people and their families each year.

We offer programs and activities, with trained, dedicated staff and volunteers who support children and youth, ranging in age from pre-school to young adulthood. Programs are offered primarily during the after-school hours where studies have shown that young people are most vulnerable at becoming drawn into anti-social behaviors. Many clubs also offer programs during evenings and weekends.

What We Offer

At our institution, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse and comprehensive selection of programs designed to cater to a wide range of interests and needs. From personalized tutoring sessions that aim to strengthen academic skills to engaging spelling bee competitions that challenge and develop linguistic prowess, we ensure that every learner finds something that resonates with them.

Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee of Canada (SBOC) is an educational organization that encourages youth, parents, teachers and the community at large to participate in the education process. The SBOC organizes annual spelling bee aimed at children and youth 6-14 years of age. The participants are places into one of three categories, Primary age 6 to 9, Junior age 9 to 11 and Intermediate age 12 to 14, to vie for cash, trophies and prizes.

Mental Health Workshops

The Youth Connection Association strives to provide exceptional training and awareness to boys and girls ages 7-19. It aims to provide the best Mental Health Training and Awareness that it can offer to the youth of our community through events, workshops, and more.

Tutoring

The Youth Connection Association for Academic Excellence Inc. offers tutoring services to children ranging from grades 1 through grade 9 in terms of their academic placements. The program focuses on, Development of basic literacy and numeracy skills, Completion of homework assigned by schools, Development of positive social skills, Development of positive self esteem, and Development of effective communication skills

Job Readiness Program

The Youth Connection Association Inc., attempt to address many of these issues. We currently run a tutoring programs that stresses civic and citizenship, and basic mathematics and language skills development and provide mental health workshops. We also provide individual and group counseling for young people and their families. We also provide referral service. As well we offer a series of modules or workshops, including a recently developed program on Communication Skills, Confidence Building, Anger Management and Conflict resolution, interview skills, and resume writing.
