Program 1: Tutoring

The Youth Connection Association for Academic Excellence Inc. offers tutoring services to children ranging from grades 1 through grade 9 in terms of their academic placements.

The program focuses on:

  • Development of basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Completion of homework assigned by schools
  • Development of positive social skills
  • Development of positive self esteem
  • Development of effective communication skills
  • Development of critical thinking and decision making skills

The Youth Connection Association for Academic Excellence Inc. provides a safe environment for young people to have fun and learn. The Club is supervised by caring and trained professionals who engage kids in several activities each year.

We offer a comprehensive array of programs that are valued at $500 per child each year. However, our annual membership fee is just $60 because we want every child to be able to join a Club.

Youth Connection Association works for positive change in the Windsor community by improving the lives of vulnerable children, youth and families in five areas:

  • Healthy Families
  • Optimal Youth Development and Self-Sufficiency
  • Stable and Supportive Living Environments for Youth
  • Educational Success
  • Stronger Communities

The Club is safe, vibrant place where all kids can learn, have fun and develop a sense of belonging and personal achievement.

For children and youth in Windsor who are experiencing problems at home and in school, we provide short and long-term counseling support and guidance for the future.
